Waltzingmouse Challenge #112

G'day there scrappers,

Nothing like having to do a card to kick-start that lost mojo. I completely forgot it's Fathers Day here  on Sunday, so I thought I'd use my lovely new strawberry stamp from Waltzingmouse to do this week's sketch challenge:

I stamped and embossed a half doile on the Kraft, behind the sentiment - it came out really well so it almost seems a waste that you can only see part of it peeping out! The card itself is from a pack of 50 pre-cut cards, including envelopes, all for the bargain price of six quid in the UK. Perfect for Christmas cards I think. If I could have got any more in my overflowing suitcase I would have!

That's all for now folks - happy scrapping and thanks for stopping by,

Krafting it Up

Well hello fellow bloggers!

It's been a while between posts hasn't it? I've just returned from a whirlwind trip to the UK for a family wedding. It's the first time in 12 years that I've been at home for a British Summer. The weather was kind, the Pimms was strong and the Olympic spirit was fantastic - what more could a girl ask for eh?

The mojo has been left on the plane I'm afraid, but I did manage to finish off a layout I started before my travels for August's Kraft It Up challenge. This month it's a sketch challenge and we have to use lots of layers:

I layered mist, patterned paper, dictionary paper, paint and stickers and added a masked layer over the top of it all. I have to say, it was nice to just bung it all on and not really think about it...maybe that should be my strategy from now on!

Hope you're all having a great week and thanks for popping by,

A Blinged up Little Prince

Hello scrappers,

Check out the Scrapville sketches this month, for the chance to win some scrappy goodies - there's a card and a layout sketch and entries have to be in by midnight on 14th August. Here's this month's card sketch by the lovely Anita:

My son is off to a 4th birthday party on the weekend and the theme is 'Princes and Princesses' - how perfect is that stamp? I've used a combination of Copics and markers to colour him in. He must have had a fall from his horse as he's looking a little flushed! I made the chevrons with the help of a fantastic tutorial by Jennifer McGuire - a bit time consuming but well worth the effort and a great way to use up any 12 inch scraps.  The crown has been coloured with a gold leaf pen and it wouldn't be a crown without a bit of bling!

Hope you can join us for the challenge this month,

Thanks for stopping by,
